Chris is the original developer of Brightway, the leading open-source LCA software framework. With a PhD from ETH Zürich in computational methodology of life cycle assessment and nine years as a senior scientist at Paul Scherrer Institute, he brings deep expertise in both the technical and methodological aspects of LCA. His commitment to open science and sustainability is demonstrated through his leadership roles in various initiatives including Départ de Sentier and BONSAI.
João is a software engineer with extensive experience in sustainability-focused development. His background includes leading the software engineering team at ecoinvent and engineering roles at Empa, combining technical expertise with domain knowledge in sustainability assessment. His experience spans both academic and industrial applications, with particular strength in developing robust, user-friendly software solutions.
David is a sustainability expert with a PhD from the University of Southampton and over 12 years of experience bridging science and product development. His background combines academic research in LCA with hands-on experience in carbon accounting startups, including roles at Watershed and Emitwise. His expertise spans both technical aspects of LCA and product management, with particular strength in translating complex environmental data into actionable insights for decision-makers.
